Summer is just around the corner, and what better way to remind you of the fun times that summer can be than anime? When it comes to the summer days in anime, it isn’t uncommon for a series (especial genres like slice of life or school dramas) to have at least one episode that focuses on summer vacation or going to the beach. Though, when making this list, I tried to think more of the series that throughout the whole thing either had a very big summer feel to them or took place the whole time in the season.
I also took into consideration that I wanted this list to actually be filled with series that were good. So if you ever want to beat the summer heat this summer by just staying inside with the a/c and watching anime, maybe these titles will spike your interest? Read the rest of this entry »
Spring has arrived! I’m sure we’re all happy to see the snow finally melt away while the flowers start to bloom, but more importantly a fantastic lineup of anime has begun! This anime season has tons of series that show so much promise. Even my least favourite series I checked out wasn’t nearly as bad as some of the things I’ve seen from past seasons.
I originally wanted to release this list once everything I wanted to see aired, but after realizing that Hyouka won’t be out for another week, I decided to go ahead and write this post up. I’m actually really excited to see Hyouka, so if I have enough to say about it, I’ll write a post for it when it does decide to air.
Anyway, back to what I have seen. I’m totally hyped for this season. I saw a lot of series that had cats in their first episodes, as well as a couple of sloths, which I think is reason enough to be excited. Also, after noitamina’s rocky start last season, it definitely looks like they’re trying to give us an apology gift with their lineup this time. As of next week I’ll be watching twenty-five new anime series, but in the meantime, enjoy my first impressions of the top twenty-four, and that is all after the jump!
In order, starting from the worse…. Read the rest of this entry »
We make it once again to the halftime of the season. A few series continue to shine, while others simply coast on that thin line of actually being watchable. I’m somehow keeping up to date with 16 anime series. Well, I’m actually watching two others, but I fell a bit behind…Anyway, when this season comes to a close I’ll make a post about my ten favourites, in the meantime you can find all my thoughts after the jump! It is always good to set goals for yourself, and with summer officially starting on Monday, I figured it would be appropriate to set my summer anime goal now. I wanted to make a goal that was actually attainable in the time I have, so here it is…..Complete Every Anime on My Currently Watching List!!
So I know there are many people who drop too much anime or just leave them on hold, but I start too many shows at once. What this problem has left me is 40 series that have yet to be completed. 40 series may not seem like that much, but within the two months of summer and the fact that I actually hope to achieve this goal of completing everything, I think the amount works out well. It’s really difficult for me to stick to one thing, I just want to see it all, but I think to achieve that I at least need to finish things every once in a while!
I even bothered to get a picture of my complete list of things I need to watch ^^ Looking at my list, it makes me unsure that I want to finish some of these such as Hakushaku to Yousei and Special A because from what I can remember I don’t recall enjoying either of them, but I’ll try to get through them both to the best of my abilities. With some other shows I feel embarrassed by my laziness because if you look at Nijuu Mensou no Musume and Hidamari Sketch x 365 I have 2 and 3 episodes left to see respectively. Well I guess my laziness just makes my mission easier to accomplish!
Anyone else set out any summer goals for themselves?
