He was about to make the list, but I’m that one person in a million who hasn’t seen Samurai Champloo and I only thought Sakamichi Apollon was pretty good. Cowboy Bebop is a masterpiece, but that’s all I could really use to consider him a candidate for the list.

haha! Well Akiyuji Shinbou has pretty much worked behind all the good Shaft series out there (at least in my opinio), but the studio as a whole does indeed need praise in itself.

I haven’t seen much of his work (only Ghost in the Shell, Blood, and the Sky Crawlers), but from what I’ve seen of his I can acknowledge his talent, but his work never really speaks to me.

If I knew half of these people, I would applaud your picks. Sadly, I only know Mr Miyazaki. As big of a Shaft guy as I am, I only praise the studio as a whole (Despite occasional shows that make me want to mutilate someone).

Nice to see Satoshi Kon in the list. He’s one epic director! Indeed, he will always be missed, I’m sure as years gone by, his works will become a legend, or I think they already had.
