Eden of the East and 07-Ghost ~First Impressions~

Eden of the East
My most anticipated show for the season and I’m glad it didn’t turn out any less than awesome! Naturally the opening turned out to be outstanding and I love the style they tried to make with it, the ending theme turned out to be great as well. The thing that striked me as the best part was definitely the characters, whom I love! They both seem so interesting and compelling, but I can’t help but notice every time I see Akira that he looks so much like Morita from Honey and Clover! Besides that, the first episode balanced the whole comedy with some more underlining serious plot-lines. The whole episode could easily be described as extremely entertaining and I really like the little references they made to North American films. The animation is also really good quality. Honestly, I really can’t think of anything negative to say about the series because it had so many elements that I loved! As I already expected form the start, I do plan on blogging this series, I really hope it continues to stay as good as it is now.

07-Ghost
This was one of the series that I was more excited for than others, but I’m still not really sure what to think of it. Some parts in the episode was really cheesy and even pointless. They took way too little time on the exams and it seems that for some it was the most difficult thing in the world, but to others it was a breeze in the park and although this is what they want represent in terms of differences in strength, it just seemed too unbelievable. I hate a character like Teito who is “too good to be true”, I just find it annoying to watch a character who you know will always make it out okay in the end. Though, in terms of the characters I like Mikage at least he has more of a personality and Ayanami, the villain, is probably my favourite. I have a feeling that soon enough I’ll be rooting for him. I’m thinking that 25 episodes may be a little too much for this series to have, but I still think more can come out of the story, so I will wait and see.

Eden of the East really did turn out to be a great show. I didn’t intend on watching it at first, but everyone else’s excitement kind of sucked me in. I’ll be checking out your posts on it for sure.

Now, I’m afraid of all the competition from my fellow bloggers all blogging Eden of the East! Joking. But really, for such a hyped anime, it actually lived up to its hype and potential. I’m loving it already and it’s only been Episode 1!
I’ll visit your Eden of the East posts if you decide to blog it.
Of course, I need to finish mine first.
